【摘要】:ThisStandardpresentsthedesignpracticesfordimensioningandtolerancingofgagesandfixturesusedfortheverificationofMaximumMaterialCondition(MMC)sizeenvelopesandVirtualConditionboundariesgeneratedbyGeometricTolerancescontrolledatMaximumMaterialCondition(MMC)anddatumfeaturescontrolledatMaximumMaterialBoundary(MMB).SomeexamplesofgagesandfixturesusedtoinspectworkpiecesusingRegardlessofFeatureSize(RFS)andRegardlessofMaterialBoundary(RMB)areshowninAppendixC.Mostofthesepracticesfocusonthedesignofreceiver-typegages,whichcollectattributedatawhenusedfortheverificationofworkpiecesdimensionedandtolerancedinaccordancewithASMEY14.5-2009.Someexamplesareshowntofixtureworkpiecesforthecollectionofvariablesdata.ThesepracticesrepresentexamplesofproductdefinitionsallowedbyASMEY14.5-2009.SinceASMEY14.5-2009isnotagagingstandard,Y14.43showsthepracticalembodimentofthetheorydisplayedinY14.5byillustratinghowtheworkpiecescouldbefixturedandgagedfortoleranceverification.Forgagingandfixturingprinciplesandpractices,seeSections2through6.
