【摘要】:Thispracticeoutlinesgeneralproceduresandprecautionsfortheapplicationofself-adheringmodifiedbitumenwaterproofingsystemsusedinnewinstallations.Thispracticeisnotall-inclusiveandisintendedonlytosupplementdetailedinstructionsfromdesigners.1.1Thispracticecoverstheminimuminstallationrecommendationsforself-adheringmodifiedbitumensheetsusedinwaterproofing.1.2Forthepurposeofthisapplicationpractice,thesubstrateisassumedtobestructurallysound,slopedtodrain,abletoaccepttheweightofthemembraneandothersystemmaterials,andmeetsthelocalbuildingcoderequirements.Similarly,allcomponentsofthewaterproofingsystemareassumedtocomplywithanyfederal,state,andlocalenvironmentalregulations,whichmaybeinaffectatthetimeofinstallation.Additionalpliesofmembrane,expansionjoints,insulationanddrainagelayersarebeyondthescopeofthispractice.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
